This is the inaugural year for the School of Education program in Florence, which is open to School of Education students only. Students study under the direction and instruction of College of William & Mary faculty. This program will teach ELL in two different primary schools in Florence approximately three days a week. The rest of the time students will be participating in activities that will help them to explore the rich surroundings of Florence and enhance their studies.
Florence is known for its natural beauty, abundance of art and architecture from the Renaissance period, and for once being the home of Dante and Michelangelo. Students on the School of Education program in Florence will be housed in a local hotel for the duration of the program and classes will convene nearby.
All students will be enrolled in two courses: CRIN 591 (Current Issues in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment) and CRIN R07 (Language Development and ELL)

Students earn a total of 6 credits: 3 credits of CRIN 591 (Current Issues in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment) and 3 credits of CRIN R07 (Language Development and ELL)
Grades will appear on the W&M transcript and will be included in GPA calculations.
2015 program fee: $5000
A $75 application fee applies, to be paid to the Bursar's Office. Students are responsible for lunches and airfare.
