Scholarship/Grant Application for Study Abroad Programs in the Middle East and the Indian Ocean Region
Scholarships are for study abroad programs in the area from Egypt eastward, including the Levant, the Arabian Peninsula and the Gulf and as of Summer 2015, also for the Indian Ocean basin, including programs in India and Singapore.
Awards typically range up to $2000 depending on the applicant’s financial need and are made possible by the James H. Critchfield Memorial Endowment. In some cases, grants will be awarded to students participating in credit-bearing projects, such as service learning, independent research, etc.
Recipients must fulfill the conditions specified in the Program Application Page (during the following phases: predecision, post-decision, while abroad, returnee), which include submitting a two-page report upon completion of their programs and devoting several hours of volunteer work at the Global Education Office.
