Home to numerous castles, cathedrals, and museums, Galway has an interesting history and culture interwoven with many myths and legends. The city is also known as a hub for the arts and hosts numerous festivals and entertainment events throughout the year. The National University of Ireland was founded in 1845 as Queen's College, Galway and is host to numerous student societies, namely the Literary and Debating Society and the Film Society.
Program Description: The Galway program is hosted by the National University of Ireland at Galway, one of Ireland’s foremost centers of academic excellence. The location in Western Ireland on the Connemara Peninsula is both culturally vibrant and naturally beautiful. Students will also have the opportunity to attend the theater and arts events which flourish across the city.
Students will live in university apartment style housing, equipped with kitchens for student use.
