Central College Abroad - Merida

Location: Merida, Mexico

Affiliated universities: Marista University, Modelo University, Autonomous University of the Yucatan (UADY)

Central College Abroad course work: Yes

Language of instruction: English and/or Spanish

Internships: Yes

Recent excursions:Historical and cultural sites in the Yucatan, including visits to Chichen Itza and surrounding colonial villages, and a five-day trip to the state of Chiapas.

Housing and meals: Live with other Central College Abroad students in Central's house (a restored governor's mansion) or choose a homestay option with a Mexican family. Most meals are provided.

Program dates: Fall semester, late August – early December. Spring semester, late January – early May.

Average program size: 12 students

Scholarships:

For many students, scholarship funds make a real difference between participation and staying home. For students who attend a school that is part of Central's cooperative council, additional scholarships are available.
