Study in beautiful Andaluca at the Centro de Lenguas Modernas and the University of Granada! The picturesque university city of Granada will captivate you with its mountain vistas and palatial Moorish architecture, its unique spirit and its poetic echoes.
The Arcadia University program is based in the historic and charming neighborhood of el Realejo and Arcadia program students, according to their interests and level of proficiency in Spanish, have the option of taking courses at any of the faculties of the University of Granada (superior-level students) or exclusively at the University of Granada's Centro de Lenguas Modernas.
Students from intermediate through superior levels of Spanish can be accommodated in Granada. There are several program options available (from intermediate to superior levels) and students may choose to study for a semester or academic year. Depending on Spanish proficiency level, students can choose from courses in Spanish language, culture, art, history, politics, economics, business, music, geography and other disciplines. The Centro de Lenguas Modernas is housed in the lovely 16th century palace of Santa Cruz and besides being one of Spain's premier institutions for international students, the CLM serves as the University's center for the teaching of foreign languages to its own Spanish students, giving international students ample opportunity to interact with Spaniards through various programmed social activities or language exchanges or while enjoying a coffee in the Center's busy caf.
An Arcadia program isn't just about enrolling you in an overseas institution, however. It's about all of the services we provide. Before you go, you can contact our program manager for advice on the application process, choosing courses, housing or simply what you should pack. Once you arrive, our resident director will lead an orientation program that will introduce you to the culture, history and politics of Spain as well as preparing you for the academic challenges of studying in a different educational system. During the semester, you can expect to participate in excursions that are designed to allow you to reflect on learning both inside and outside of the classroom.
