If you're looking for a memorable and productive way to spend your summer, the University of Stirling Summer Academic Program offers you the perfect solution. You'll study side-by-side with Scottish students, which will enable you to get a real flavor of Scottish higher education and campus life while earning up to 12 credits.
All courses offered during the University of Stirling Summer Academic Program are worth 3 semester hours of credit each. The program is offered for 4 or 8 weeks. The first 4-week block begins in mid-June and ends in mid-July. The second 4-week block begins in mid-July and runs through mid-August. Students who attend one block must take 2 courses for a total of 6 semester hours of credit. Students who attend both blocks for the full 8 weeks can earn either 9 or 12 semester hours of credit. Many of the course incorporate British or Scottish themes including The British Media and Introduction to Scottish History, among others.
The Arcadia Advantage
An Arcadia program isn't just about enrolling you in an overseas institution however. It's about all of the services that we provide. Before you go, you can contact our program manager for advice on the application process, choosing courses, or simply what you should pack. Once you arrive, our resident director will lead an orientation program in Edinburgh that will introduce you to the culture, history and politics of Scotland as well as prepare you for the academic challenges of studying in a different educational system.
