Macquarie University, with its spacious and lush campus, provides an excellent balance between academic and social pursuits. Located in suburban Sydney, within commuting distance of the Central Business District, Macquarie's strong Faculty of Arts enjoys particular renown in psychology, linguistics, media related units, art history, anthropology, and Australian and Aboriginal studies. Courses in accounting and finance are also popular and are strengthened by the presence of the Graduate Accounting and Finance Centre. In the Faculty of Education, the University provides study abroad students with the opportunity to enroll in studies in early childhood education. Students interested in the study of religion may find courses offered by the Macquarie Christian Institute of Studies to be of particular interest.
The Arcadia Advantage
An Arcadia program isn't just about enrolling you in an overseas institution, however. It's about all of the services we provide. Before you go, you can contact our program manager for advice on the application process, choosing courses, or simply what you should pack. Once you arrive, our Australia staff will lead an orientation program that will introduce you to the culture, history and politics of Australia as well as preparing you for the academic challenges of studying in a different educational system. During the semester, Arcadia's staff will plan excursions and activities designed to expand your understanding of Australian culture and help you integrate into university life.
