Program Description:

Overview:
Internationalization of higher education and globalization are at the forefront of our field. The global nature of our society and the impact of globalization on education within the United States require educational administrators to have more knowledge of other educational systems. Further, as we prepare educators to work in diverse settings, this program will begin to frame how culture impacts education systems. An in-country experience allows for immersion in a different culture and a better appreciation of the context in which education is conducted outside of the US. This course involves travel to an international site location and immersion in a foreign culture to allow for the study of educational topics in context. The course sites for this course vary over time.  Pre-trip and post-trip work is common.

The program is a collaboration between the W&M School of Education and the Global Education Office.
