The Colin Powell Global Engagement Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship to be awarded to outstanding undergraduate students with demonstrated leadership abilities who seek to participate in study abroad programs.  Scholarships may be awarded for winter, semester, and summer study abroad opportunities. 

Applicants are required to submit an application describing their leadership experience in the classroom, student organizations, and/or public service, as well as their vision for how their career path will be enhanced by study abroad. Application also requires 2 letters of recommendation. 

Nominated students will be invited for an interview with Reves Center staff before selection is made. 

Recipients are expected to share a report with the Reves Center about their overseas experiences. They may also occasionally be asked to engage with various outreach opportunities and/or general scholarship donors at events throughout the year. 

Scholarship awards are anticipated at $3000 for winter programs, $5000 for summer programs, and $7500 for semester programs.
