The University of Adelaide, established in 1874, is among Australia's leading universities. Studying at the University of Adelaide means being part of a rich tradition of excellence in education and research, with world-class academic staff and a vibrant student life. The University offers over 120 programs of study with numerous course options in each program. W&M students may choose from the full university curriculum in their course selections. Please note, 3 credits at the University of Adelaide is equivalent to 4 W&M credits.
W&M students must arrange housing in Adelaide and the cost of their accommodations isin addition to tuition fees. Many students choose to apply to live at University of Adelaide Village. The Village is the only housing owned and operated by the University and rooms can be booked months in advance. The Village is in a central location, only blocks from Central Market and a short walk to Rundle Mall, and housing options include townhouse (individual or shared bath) or apartment (shared bath) options. Both offer kitchen and living rooms for student use.
The tuition exchange agreement between the College of William & Mary and the University of Adelaide allows W&M students to pay their regular tuition to W&M while taking classes at Adelaide. The exchange program is best for VA in-state students. Students not chosen for the exchange program have the option of assisted enrollment. Assisted enrollment requires W&M students to pay tuition to the University of Adelaide. Out-of-state students often find assisted enrollment the best option. All W&M students will pay housing, meals and other fees on site in Adelaide.

Dates / Deadlines:
NOTE: 1. Applications are first reviewed by the Reves Center, and students nominated for the exchange or assisted enrollment programs are notified. Application materials are then sent to the school abroad (and the school abroad often requests additional materials at this time). When the school abroad completes their application review, students are then notified of the final acceptance decision. This timeline varies greatly from school to school. In rare cases a student nominated by the Reves Center will not be selected by the school abroad to attend their university; the Reves Center would then explore further options for the student. 2. Any start and end dates listed are to serve as a guide for general planning, but specific dates are subject to change and may not include mandatory orientation programs or exams. Contact your host university for the most accurate dates.
