This opportunity for Fall 2020 would allow students located in China to take in-person courses, should they be unable to return to W&M in the Fall.
Through W&M’s sister university, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) would provide W&M students with courses within their full undergraduate curriculum (both English language and Chinese language courses).
Students would be housed in UESTC international student dorms and would receive credit from UESTC, which can be transfer back to W&M with W&M faculty approval.
UESTC, a “double first-class” university, is a key multidisciplinary university that incorporates management, economics, medicine, and liberal arts, to its electronic information and technology focus. UESTC has over 33,000 total students.

Participants will fulfill the COLL 300
Chengdu, located in southwest China, is home of the giant panda, Sichuan dishes, and the birthplace of tea culture. With a population of over 14 million, the city is the capital of the Sichuan province and is one of the most important economic centers in the region.
Fall 2020 - September 7, 2020 - January 24, 2021 (winter break begin) (W&M's spring 2021 semester is scheduled to begin on January 27, 2021.)

Costs not included: food, personal expenses, travel
Students participating in this program would remain full-time W&M students have have access to you would continue having access to W&M’s services (Swem Library, VPN, Wellness, Academic Advising, etc) and would have the ability to register for spring courses with the rest of your cohort.
