Program Description:

SIT Study Abroad: Jordan: Refugees, Health, and Humanitarian Action

Witness the massive humanitarian response to the regional refugee crisis, with a focus on refugee health. Jordan, a hub for the UN and international NGOs, offers a unique opportunity to study humanitarian response across sectors such as health, protection, food security, and WASH. In Amman, examine refugee protection policies and psychosocial interventions. In Geneva, explore international humanitarian coordination and compare integration and identity challenges of asylum seekers in Jordan and Switzerland.

QUOTE
"I really enjoyed my stay in Jordan. The program director and assistants were very supportive and responsive. I really like the field visits to the refugee camp and numerous humanitarian local NGOs in Jordan and Turkey. Those field visits allowed me to learn a lot about working in the humanitarian aid field. I would choose the program again also because it enabled me to do one-month internship at a local NGO."
