Program Description:

Arcadia - U of Westminster
A large university with a strong communications program

As one of the biggest universities in the UK, with a high volume of international students, the University of Westminster offers a large variety of classes and departments to visiting students, including creative writing, business, criminology, marketing, STEM, and English. The highly recognized school of Media, Arts, and Design offers state-of-the-art equipment and technologies for the study of media, communications, art and design, photography, fashion, film, music, and journalism. Westminster’s course flexibility with visiting students means that it may be a good program option if you want to explore different subject areas. Additionally, Westminster’s mission features a deep commitment to global initiatives, along with links to industry, toward the goal of ensuring academic, personal, and professional success for every student.

  • This program is flexible, as students are able to study three or four courses, including courses from different departments.

  • Courses at the College of Design, Creative, and Digital Industries have a separate 3.0 GPA requirement.

  • You’ll benefit from expert faculty and develop strong leadership skills from group work and team projects.

  • You’ll be able to join clubs and societies at the university Students’ Union, which also hosts a variety of events for visiting students. Westminster’s recreational facilities include a gymnasium and fitness rooms, as well as an outdoor sports ground along the River Thames that has a boathouse, playing fields, and tennis courts.

  • Living like a true Londoner, you’ll learn to commute between Westminster’s four campuses. Three — Regent Street, Marylebone, and Cavendish — are situated within a 20-minute walk to each other in the hustle of central London, near Oxford Street, the theatre district in the West End, and Regent’s Park. You’ll find a small-town atmosphere and immersive British experience at the Harrow campus, a 45-minute commute into the northwest suburbs and home to the school of Media, Arts, and Design.
