IAU is pleased to offer programs in Barcelona, Spain.
Summer students earn up to six academic credits (90 contact hours). Semester students earn up to 18 academic credits.
Students select from a variety of courses, taught in both English and in Spanish. Students will investigate the most significant neighborhoods, plazas,architectural achievements and public art. Courses will be held in the center of the city at the IAU College Center for Spanish Language and Culture. The center includes modern classrooms with Wi-Fi, a staff of academic and student affairs professionals as well as a language and culture library and a student center designed specifically for undergraduate students from U.S. institutions. Lectures and activities will also help students to demystify the city's multi-ethnic population as the result of numerous occupations, expulsions and migrations. Students will reside in homestays which will enable them to be immersed into the Spanish language and culture.

Internships are available during the summer and semester terms.
Courses will be held at the IAU College Center for Spanish Language and Culture in the heart of Barcelona. The center includes modern classrooms with Wi-Fi, a staff of academic and student affairs professionals.
Students will be housed in shared homestays or in shared apartments. Breakfast and dinner will be included as part of the homestay accommodation. Students will be placed together and may request roommates on the housing application form.
Program costs include six units of course credit, housing, most meals, cultural activities, insurance and an airport pick-up in Barcelona. Participants will engage in daily classes and two weekend excursions, leaving two weekends open to optional activities or enjoying the vast array of possibilities the city has to offer.
